PROVISION OF ENFORCEMENT LEGAL SERVICES TO THE HEALTH AND SAFETY EXECUTIVE

Tender description

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is seeking to appoint a panel of solicitor agents to provide enforcement legal services, primarily in support of its regulatory work in England and Wales, for a fixed period of two years commencing on 01 October 2015, with the option to extend by agreement for a further year. To be appointed to the panel, successful bidders will need to demonstrate a strong background of conducting, in England and Wales: criminal proceedings on behalf of the prosecution; conducting enforcement notice appeals and providing representation at inquests. Specific experience in the field of UK health and safety legislation is essential. In order to provide a greater understanding of this opportunity and the work required, HSE is holding an Awareness Event on Friday 10 April 2015 between 11:00 – 13:00 at its offices in Redgrave Court, Bootle, Merseyside. The programme for the event will involve a presentation to all attendees giving an overview of the service requirements and the procurement process to be followed.
