Bournemouth Borough Council seeks Quotes for a commercial operator with extensive experience of the operation of pleasure boats to provide pleasure trips from the East landing stages on Bournemouth Pier with a view to animating the coastline and providing interest and opportunity to visitors and residents alike. It is envisaged the operator will provide pleasure cruises to key sites such as Poole Quay, Swanage, Brownsea Island as well as cruises around the bay and along the Jurassic Coast. Consent to land at third party locations must be obtained by the operator. The potential operator will provide a proposal of vessels, consents, prospective routes and a timetable within a business plan submitted with the tender. The operating period will be between 1st May and 30th October in 2015, and 1st April and 30th October in 2016 and 2017.
