Tender description

The Authority’s proposal is to let one Citywide contract and one reserve contract to carry out asbestos analytically services to the City Council’s Housing stock to include vacant properties, properties with residents in occupation and communal parts. The Contract will be for a four year term with break clauses at the end of years two and three. The option to extend will be exercised solely by Westminster City Council and at Westminster City Council’s sole discretion. The proposed Contract will deliver services as part of CityWest Homes’ Strategic Priorities to Deliver Asset Strategy and Further Improve Value for Money. The Contract will also help to deliver against Westminster City Council’s Strategic Priority to Deliver Enhanced Value for Money. The City Council’s stock portfolio is extremely diverse including tower blocks, large system-built estates, street properties, houses and a number of small estates. Most properties were built between 1900 and 1970. Approximately 10% of the City Council’s overall stock was built before 1900; approximately 12% of the overall stock is listed and over a third of the stock is in conservation areas.
