1. INTRODUCTION The objective for An Garda Síochána in undertaking this procurement process is to ensure the most economical and environmentally friendly Garden Maintenances Service within Belmullet Garda District & Power Washing of the ground around Castlebar Garda Station in addition to improving the quality of service. 2. BREAKDOWN OF STATIONS The Garda Stations listed below are the station that requires a Garden Maintenance service. • BANGOR ERRIS • BELMULLET - Garden Maintenance plus power wash • GLENAMOY • CASTLEBAR – POWERWASH ONLY 2. WHAT IS PROPOSED FROM PROPOSED CONTRACT 2.1 A high quality garden maintenance service will be required from the successful Tenderer together with providing supervision for this contract. 2.2 Tenderers must detail how they propose to maintain the garden area in their proposal, taking into account, lawns, paths, shrubs, trees and any other areas. Tenderers must carry out a site visit, details of which are set out in section 2.13 of this request for tender document. 2.3 The following is the proposed specification for the service that will be required, however if you consider that these specifications are too high or to low for the garden type or size following a site visit of the area to be maintained this should be addressed in your response outlining the reasons why. LAWNS One cut, every two weeks from March to October inclusive (weather permitting any cuts that don’t occur should not be charge to An Garda Síochána) – 18 cuts. Fertilize lawns once per annum. PATHS Your proposal should address how you propose to ensure the paths are clear of weeds, leaves, and all debris and do not constitute a health hazard SHRUBS Shrubs pruned and foliage cut back when necessary. Your proposal should set out how you propose to maintain the shrubs. Prune to shape where required. TREES Ensure trees are properly staked and tied. Your proposal should address how you propose to maintain the trees. Minor pruning where required
