We are seeking instrumentation that is capable of rapid, accurate, quantitative measurements of fluorescence generated by individual cells in large populations, and of sorting cells accurately and reproducibly on the basis of fluorescence intensity. The instruments responsible for flow cytometry and cell sorting, respectively, will have closely matched configurations and software, thus enabling experiments to be run under equivalent conditions. The instruments will be versatile with capability for high-throughput analyses, be well supported by after-sales technical expertise, will have validated quality assurance for instrument, associated consumables, software and applications, including in-built automatic data quality assessments and displays.
