Tender description
The list size of the practice is 1,347 patients and the service receives patients from; Blaydon, Ryton, Crookhill, Stella, Winlaton and Crawcrook as well as all other wards within Gateshead West. The aim of the service is to deliver essential, additional and enhanced services to registered patients from a premises located in Blaydon. It is envisaged that the tender documentation for this service will be issued in March 2015 with a contract commencement date of 01 August and service commencement date of 03 August 2015. Under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 the contracting authorities must consider: • How what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the relevant area. (Area is the geographic area for which the procurement is taking place) • How, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing the improvement. The North of England Commissioning Support Unit (NECS) is managing the procurement process for and on behalf of NHS England’s Cumbria and the North East. NECS is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this procurement and communicate with potential providers. Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued to potential providers, and all communications and submissions will be conducted via the In-Tend Portal (which can be found at https://in-tendhost.co.uk/necs). Registering Interest The North of England Commissioning Support Service (NECS) is a commissioning support service hosted by NHS England and will run the tender process for and on behalf of NHS England Yorkshire and the Humber (the contracting authority). NECS is utilising an electronic tendering tool to gather expressions of interest therefore all communications will be conducted via the In-Tend portal, https://in-tendhost.co.uk/necs. It is free to register on the portal, which can be accessed at any time. A dedicated helpdesk is available should potential providers have any queries and can be contacted on 0844 2728810 (Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm) or via emailing support@in-tend.co.uk. Please note that this facility allows the provider to express an interest only in delivering this service, it is not a Pre-Qualification Process.
