Structural Protection of the East Pier (Protected Structure) at Howth Fishery Harbour Centre

Tender description

The Consultant shall be required to: Procure a site investigation contractor on behalf of the Dept to determine the extent of sub surface voids in the structure and make recommendations for repair works if any. Undertake dive survey of the toe/slope of the breakwater using his specialist and report on findings Undertake computational modelling of the wave climate and overtopping at the breakwater using his specialist Undertake a bathymetric survey of the harbour & surrounds if necessary using his specialist Investigate the future structural integrity of the breakwater & make recommendations to the Dept for any works necessary to protect the structure Undertake design works for repairs to any undermining of the structure at the toe/slope Prepare applications for the any necessary statutory consents and consult with the Conservation Office of Fingal County Council and the NPWS in relation to all works If required, prepare Appropriate Assessment/Ecological Assessment report for proposed works Procure on behalf of the Dept a suitable Contractor to undertake all necessary repair works, perform the role of PSDP and administer the contract Please refer to the Service Requirement/Project Brief document for a full description of the Departments requirements This contract was awarded to Arup Consulting Engineers
