1.1. OPPORTUNITY LISTING –STRUCTURAL ENGINEER SERVICES 1.2. CITYWEST HOMES INVITES QUOTATIONS FOR: T105: structural engineer services. The project includes 74 properties, located within Queens Park conservation area. Currently, the nature and extend of structural defects are unknown. The structural issues will be identified as soon as the scaffolding will be erected and the survey will be carried out by the site manager and CWH project surveyor. In case any structural issues are identified, the assistance of the structural engineer will be required. The purpose of this procurement process is to secure services of the structural engineer who will be working on the ‘stand by’ basis and will attend site as and if required. The commonly found defects in the Queens Park area are: - Defective chimneys to main roof and/ or rear extension roof: partial or complete rebuilding required - Front bay separating from the main building: underpinning or/ and tying back required - Rear elevation extension separating form the main building: underpinning and/ or tying back required - Structural cracks to elevations due to various reason (soil movement, presence of large trees in the area, other) The successful provider will be required to provide following services: - Site visits - Verbal advice regarding the nature of the defects and required remedial works - Preparation of building condition report, including list of further required investigation works, description of the structural issues and required remedial works - Preparation of the elevation drawings, including the existing structural defect and remedial works - Preparation of specifications for remedial works to structural defect, including the materials and methodology The successful provider will be required to: - Attend site to survey the property/ defect within 5 work days from receiving the notification - Provide requested information/ reports/ drawings within 10 work days from the date o
