N3-N87-R197 Staghall Roundabout Approaches Pavement Resurfacing Scheme

Tender description

The Scope of Works involves the renewal (inlay) of existing pavements on the N3, N87 and R197 in the vicintiy of Belturbet, County Cavan. The lengths involved are 0.72km of the N3, 0.26km of the N87 and 0.9km of the R197. The works will generally involve the following: - removal of existing road studs (to be delivered to Council depot at Creeny, Belturbet) - cold milling (planing) to a depth of 45mm (planings to be delivered to Council depot at Creeny, Belturbet) - Adjustment of existing ironwork (gullies, manhole covers etc) where necessary - Laying of new Polymer Modified SMA wearing course - Installation of new road markings and reflective road studs - Installation of high friction surfacing on the approaches to Staghall Roundabout - All required ancillary items e.g. traffic management - Acting as PSCS - In addition, on the R197 two sections of failed trench resinstatement are to be rehabilitated to depths of 450mm and 100mm respectively prior to laying of the surface course
