Specialist Gas Regulatory and Energy Markets Consultancy Support

Tender description

The Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) is Ireland’s independent energy and water regulator. The CER was established in 1999 and now has a wide range of economic, customer protection and safety responsibilities in energy. The CER is also the regulator of Ireland’s public water and wastewater system. The CER currently wishes to engage consultancy support to provide specific regulatory and economic advice on Gas market and Gas operations issues during the period Sept 2014-Sept 2016, in particular to provide specialist advice on the implementation of EU Networks Codes and on issues relating to tri-partite arrangements at certain Interconnection points. This position will require a combination of onsite work at the CER’s offices in Dublin and at the consultant’s own premises. This will be a drawdown contract with a cap of 150 man-days. The contract term is for a maximum period of 24 months (owing to the call down contract nature) with an option to terminate the contract by either party with a 30 day notice period.
