Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS England Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Area Team is carrying out an exercise to identify a caretaker provider for a GP Surgery on a short term APMS Contract. NHS England Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Area Team are looking for expressions of interest from suitable qualified and interested providers with an ability to deliver a GP Surgery service for up to 12 months (6 months plus 6 month notice period). During this time it is envisaged that the long term future of the service will be determined through public consultation and, depending on the outcome of the consultation, possible procurement. The practice has a current list size of 2985 patients and is provided from a location in Radford, Nottingham. The identified provider will have the option to continue to provide services from this premise; interested provider should note the premise is not part of the NHS estate. NHS England is looking for a modern, patient-centred model that is user friendly and culturally sensitive that considers all of the national and local public health targets. The model will need to include provision of the following: • Essential Services • All Additional Services • Dementia & Learning Disabilities Enhanced Services • Opening hours and service delivery from 8am – 6.30pm Monday to Friday (except statutory bank and public holidays) Due to the interim nature of this service, it is envisaged that the practice will operate under a closed list and with a minimum income guarantee. The full scope of the service can be found in the attached draft specification; it is essential that interested providers must be able to demonstrate an ability to mobilise to service provision within a short time frame.
