Clare County Council is seeking to engage a consultant to provide communications, training and market development services to the GeoparkLIFE programme for a period of one year. The Council may consider extending the contract for a further two years or part thereof. It will be at the sole discretion of Clare County Council to extend this contract. Where a Company wishes to apply, a co-ordinator has to be assigned to the contract. The role of the co-ordinator will be to activate, manage and evaluate a communications, training and marketing programme for the Geopark LIFE programme. The co-ordinator will be involved in the following: • Communication and dissemination of the GeoparkLIFE project activities and outcomes to local, national and international stakeholders and visitors; including raising the project’s profile at visitor centres and information points, inclusion in publications and signage, organisation of conferences, media updates, schools programme etc. • Implementing and managing a social media strategy; integrating the web, face book and twitter promotional tools • Developing, implementing and measuring a marketing campaign for sustainable tourism experiences and products, and co-ordinating the development of experiences and products, with the GeoparkLIFE Sustainable Tourism Co-ordinator and Burren Ecotourism Network • Analysing and reporting on the communication and dissemination of the GeoparkLIFE project to local, national and international stakeholders and the EU LIFE programme managers • Provision of training on GeoparkLIFE Training Programme on Social Media and Geopark awareness and communication This contract was awarded to Laura Cotter.
