This sevice is 24/7/365. National Blood Centre The Irish Blood Transfusion Service requires a full time manned guarding service at the National Blood Centre James’s St, Dublin 8, to maintain a secure environment for its staff, donors, visitors, premises and blood supply. The facility caters for approximately 250 staff, 11,000 m2 of premises and 139 car parking spaces located within the grounds of a busy city centre hospital. The building is equipped with a CCTV system in the security room with which security personnel will monitor and record activity at the building perimeter, entrances and internal circulation routes. Personnel movement within the building is controlled via an access control system to prevent unauthorised access to restricted areas. The security room incorporates the control panels for the following systems: • Building Fire Alarm System • Computer Room water detection alarms • Zoned Intruder Alarm System: to monitor perimeter doors and ancillary spaces outside of normal building occupancy hours. • Critical Parameter Alarm Panel (REES System): to alert security officer to laboratory alarms which have not been attended to by laboratory staff. D’Olier St Blood Donation Clinic The IBTS leases 2nd and 3rd floor of 1-5 D’Olier St as its city centre blood donation clinic. The Security Service Provider shall provide the following services: (a) Key Holding Service (b) Call Out Service – response to site within 1 hour.
