Provision of Outdoor Advertising Services to CIE

Tender description

This is a non-mandatory notice for a service concession run by Irish Rail on behalf of CIE. CIE owns a substantial network of outdoor advertising sites, potential and realised. CIE is seeking a contractor to fulfil the potential of these sites and exploit the maximum revenue return to CIE. The successful tenderer will market develop and manage CIE’s outdoor advertising business, transit and fixed formats as well as having obligations relating to repair and maintenance of the portfolio. The specified advertising sites/formats include (but are not limited to) the following: Transit •Dublin Bus advertising fleet – external and internal formats including full and part colour bus• Iarnrod Eireann Dart advertising fleet – external vinyl and internal formats •Bus Eireann advertising fleet (Regional and intercity) external frames and vinyl and internal formats. Fixed Sites • Fixed large and small format sites including rail and bus stations, platforms, rail side and road side• Railway bridges • Transvision digital screens •ambient media - There is scope for further opportunities to be explored such as • Commercial promotional activities at selected rail and bus stations nationwide • Product sampling. There may also be service and network enhancements during the term of the licence which may extend the commercial outdoor advertising portfolio (this contract will exclude Wi-Fi advertising opportunities on BAC, BE & IE fleets and bus shelters of BAC, BE and IE). Investment to upgrade plant to modern/digital formats will be required of the tenderer. Contract duration is undecided at this point but is likely to be either, 3 years with an option to extend for an additional 2 years or 5 years with an option to extend for an additional 2 years. Total duration is not likely to exceed 7 years. The duration will be at CIE's discretion
