The Provision of Support Services for Firewall and DMZ Infrasturcture

Tender description

The Department invites tenders for the provision of support to the Department’s Firewall/DMZ Admin team. The Department’s Firewall team is responsible for maintaining and delivering high quality, stable and secure infrastructure at the perimeter of the ICT Networks they support. The Department’s Firewall team manage the Firewall/DMZ infrastructure on a day-to-day basis but the successful tenderer will provide second line support both onsite and offsite via phone and email and also advise on Firewall and DMZ design and implementation. Hardware included in the supported DMZ areas include Firewalls (multiple vendors), network switches, and related management servers. This hardware and software is deployed on the Department’s own network and that of a number of agencies for which this Department provides support through shared services arrangements. While hardware support is in place with each individual vendor, the successful tenderer must have strong long-standing relationships with the vendors concerned.
