Tender description

The EPA Office of Environmental Assessment undertakes biological monitoring of rivers in fulfilment of the needs of the Water Framework Directive monitoring programme (Directive 2000/60/EC). The EPA is seeking technical assistance with the undertaking of some of this river monitoring and assessment work in 2014 to supplement the EPA’s own monitoring resources. A total of 2,808 biological river monitoring sites are due to be surveyed in the 2013 – 2015 survey cycle, of which 986 are due to be monitored in 2014.
