Tender description

Following on from our PIN NOTICE (2012/S 236-389069) regarding Design Discipline Services, An Post intends to issue out a tender for the provision of Building Surveyors Services. An Post shall be seeking ONE provider to provide these services to all An Post sites nationally. An Post has a varied property portfolio servicing our business needs across the Republic of Ireland, which consists of retail outlets, sorting offices, mail centres and administration buildings. An Post operates in a unionised environment with open communication with all stakeholders. These properties consist of traditional Post Office Buildings dating from the 1900’s to the present day together with standard light industrial units. Some of the properties are protected structures or are in areas of Architectural conservation. Potential candidates must be capable of providing the following services: •Building inspection and Condition Surveys •Dilapidations and landlord and tenant services •Refurbishment and maintenance management to include designing and specifying improvements in accordance with national standards/regulations incorporating best practice. •Managing a number of projects simultaneously and on time. •Act as project supervisor design process (PSDP), •Project managing small to medium sized maintenance projects •Quantity Surveying Services including Certification of the final accounts •Project reports •General Mechanical and Electrical •General Civil and Structural Engineering •Environmental audits/consultancy Contract duration: 3 years with an option to extend for a further 24 months on a year by year basis. An Post will use the Supply-Line qualification system operated by Achilles Procurement Services as its first stage for tender list selection. Interested parties must therefore ensure they are registered with Achilles on the appropriate codes and level in order to be considered for inclusion in this tender process.
