Tender description

Following from earlier work Ofcom commissioned and published on Smartphone operating system security, Ofcom would like to better understand the security and privacy implications, challenges for industry and the emerging threats to consumers emanating from living room connected devices (emergent technologies),their operating systems and technical capabilities. This should be in the form of a report. For the purposes of this study a living room connected device should be considered as consumer electronic devices capable of connecting to the internet. Non-exhaustive examples of the class of devices include video streaming devices, televisions, BluRay players and games consoles. This study shall exclude from scope personal computers, laptops and smart meters Ofcom has a requirement
