Tender description

The Defence Forces (DF) has a requirement to continue the provision of reliable bandwidth between its sites to support evolving business needs through the provision of a WAN framework. These interconnected remote sites are distributed throughout Ireland and connect at a range of bandwidths and media types up to and including Gigabit Ethernet. The DF WAN network will operate Private Military Red and Private Military Green and DF Internet networks with logically separate bandwidth and physically separate hardware allocation. The DF invites tenders for the supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of LAN speed Wide area connections between the sites listed in section 1.2 with access to Government Networks. This tender was awarded to UPC.
