EirGrid is commencing a procurement process for the supply and installation of enterprise shared storage devices and server hardware, including enterprise tape backup library at our primary sites (EirGrid office Dublin and SONI in Belfast) and our secondary sites (disaster recovery) in both Dublin and Belfast. The purpose of this contract is to update and standardise where possible all of our server and storage hardware with the latest solutions available that meet our requirements. EirGrid Group has 18 SAN’s and over 400 physical servers as well as a number of virtualisation farms. This contract will be split into three Lots, as follows; - Lot 1 – Enterprise Storage - Lot 2 – Servers - Lot 3 – Combined Lot 1 and Lot 2 All contracts will be awarded for a period of five years with an option to extend annually for up to an additional 24 months, subject always to the satisfactory performance of the successful suppliers.
