The extent of the Wicklow Water Supply Scheme – Contract 8A – Vartry to Cronroe Main Replacement consists of the following works: Pipelines to be constructed as part of Contract 8A – Vartry to Cronroe Main Replacement includes the following: Water Mains • Laying of approximately 10,826m of 400mm dia. ductile iron trunk mains in roads and fields. • Laying of approximately 365m of 350mm dia. ductile iron trunk mains in roads. • Laying of approximately 5,606m of 180mm OD PE100 SDR 17 distribution mains in roads and fields. • Laying of approximately 1,503m of 125mm OD PE100 SDR 17 distribution mains in roads and fields. • Laying of approximately 1,100m of 200mm UPVC land drainage pipe in fields. • 1,503m of 125mm OD PE100 SDR 17 distribution mains in roads and fields. Works in the vicinity of existing mature trees to be protected along the proposed pipeline route 3 no. Stream Crossings (Vartry River crossing to be completed by others) Construction of a new bitmac footpath along Timmore Lane Construction of an access gate, walls and bitmac surfacing at 2 no. locations Connection to existing mains and installation of ancillary works including connections to the existing 24” DCC watermain at Callowhill. Replacement of domestic connections along existing watermains and the construction of new connections All valves, fittings, chambers, manholes, connections and associated ancillary works associated with the above. Temporary and permanent reinstatement of all surfaces.
