NOTICE OF AWARD OF CONTRACT Project: Demolition Contract 8 Procedure: Negotiated Procedure Tenders Received: 7th September 2012 Contract Awarded to: John Tinnelly & Sons Contract Sum: €1,077,700 euro excluding VAT Date Contract Award: 4th February 2013 Scope of Works: The works consist of the soft stripping, asbestos removal and demolition and disposal of the concrete arisings from 2 No flat blocks. The Blocks consist of 9 storeys (8 occupied floor levels over basement level) and contain 96 individual flats in each block.The Blocks to be demolished are Balency type large panel system buildings consisting of precast concrete walls and insitu concrete floors. The external walls are double leaf sandwich panels and the internal walls consist of single leaf precast conceret panel walls.
