Tender description

Based on extensive surveys of the weirs and sluices at Meelick and Marlborough on the River Shannon, essential repairs and proposed upgrades have been identified. These repairs are necessary to maintain the navigational infrastructure of the River Shannon. Waterways Ireland is preparing a planning submission for the proposed works at Meelick and wishes to commission an Environmental Impact Assessment and Appropriate Assessment of the potential impacts and overall sustainability of the development. In addition Waterways Ireland wishes to commission an Appropriate Assessment for the proposed works at Marlborough.
