Tender description

The services consist of the provision of generic and specialist support for disabled children and young people (CYP) and their families. Generic support is usually provided in the mornings and evenings and consists of individual trained short break workers who provide support to families either by caring for the disabled child/young person in the home or by taking the child/young person out to access play or other leisure activities in the community whilst providing a break to parent/carers. Specialist support is for those who have a range of complex medical conditions who require support from health care professionals. The majority of home based short breaks are purchased at the generic level.
