This contract was awarded to TMA Consultancy. Research on the role and contribution of employment programmes in service delivery in the national network of Citizens Information Services (CISs). There are over 200 employment programme workers contributing to the work of CISs. The research will explore the overall nature of engagement of community employment programme workers in services, the extent of ‘face to face’ work with clients and the progression of staff into more mainstream roles in services and into other employment. The research will also gauge the role of these employment programmes in the development of the CIS model and the best possible ‘fit’ for these programmes with the service delivery model into the future.
