Provision of Accounting Support Services to the SFPA 2012-2014 Contract Period

The Authority intends to establish an agreement with one service provider for the provision of accounting support services that will assist the Authority to provide reliable financial reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.This Request for Tender (RFT) issued by the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority invites suitably qualified Accountancy firms:- To undertake accountancy support services for the Authority over the period 2012 to 2014. The contract will initially be for one year with a further two-year extension as required.- Assistance with the preparation of year end financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices and public service requirements.- Assistance in complying with the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies.- To assist in accounts payable and payroll processing.- To prepare reports outlining the results, conclusions and recommendations for review by the Finance Manager as required from time to time.- To be available to report and attend meetings where called upon to do so.- To make available all relevant material and information to our external auditor in accordance with the provisions of auditing standards.- Advice as to the implications of relevant Revenue legislation and in particular legislation pertaining to the Public Service.
