Mobile Grit Blasting and Painting Facility

IÉ are looking to develop a procedure for preparing bogies for painting as part of the heavy maintenance process.To facility this, IÉ have a requirement to procure a mobile (semi fixed) paint spray facility with an add on grit blasting facility.The general specification for the new facilities are as follows,(a) Large enough to accommodate two bogie frames.(b) Temperature controlled.(c) Capable of facilitating the application of IE Technical Standard No. 9 ‘ Painting of Vehicles’ with regard to bogie frames.(d) Provide adequate extraction.(e) Include all paint equipment i.e. Paint guns, test equipment, breathing equipment, spirit cleaners etc.(f) The facilities should be able to be moved to alternate location if so required.(g) Paint facility should be capable of applying water based paints if required.(h) Grit blast booth should not allow escape of grit to atmosphere.
