Tender description

South West Mayo Development Company (SWMDC), in cooperation with local funding and other relevant partners, has been working with the crafts sector in County Mayo over the past 9 months. This ‘Analysis of the Craft Sector in County Mayo’, involved the compilation of a database of craftspeople, analysis of the sector and identification of priority projects. The main short-term objective of the sector was the development of a branded network for local craftspeople, subject to minimum standards and membership criteria.A new network, ‘Craftworks Mayo’, is now established with a membership of 31 craft businesses (including 1 non-producer member and 2 associate members) from all over County Mayo. The next step in the strategic development of this new network is the subject of this tender document. SWMDC and its partner agencies plan to deliver this tender as a collaborative initiative to support ‘Craftworks Mayo’.
