Tender description
NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board wish to appoint a suitable contractor to supply a Uterine Balloon Therapy System. The system is a thermal balloon ablation device intended to ablate the endometrial lining of the uterus in premenopausal women with menorrhagia (excessive uterine bleeding) due to benign causes for whom child-bearing is complete. Indicated for menorrhagia AND shown to reduce dysmenorrhea as a secondary quality-of-life end point. The System must be NICE approved. The contract will be awarded for an initial term of 2 years with 2 further year on year optional extensions. The option to extend will be at total discretion of the Health Board.
