Tender description

The contract comprised the supply and placing of approximately 898 square meters (average depth 1.0 meters, 898 cubic meters including voids) of rock armour along the banks of the Owenboy River at Crosshaven, County Cork. The rock armour size is generally 1.0 meters down to 0.3 meters and must be similar to that used in the adjacent works completed in 2011. There is a walkway/cycleway beside the works area and this is seperated from the R612 regional road by an earthen bund and metal crash barrier in section A-B and by a stone wall in section C-D. No damage is to be caused to any of these during construction.
