Continuing Professional Development Model for Registrants under the HSCP Act 2005CORU invited tender proposals from service providers to assist in researching and developing a Continuing Professional Development model for registrants of the designated professions under the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005.The Council is looking to develop a framework for the CPD model to issue to the 12 registration boards. The scheme must satisfy the requirements of each of the 12 registration boards in setting the profession’s CPD requirements.It is proposed that the development of the model will be in two stages:Phase 1 –Research- Research existing CPD systems currently being operated for the 12 designated professions.- Research CPD systems amongst other professions in Ireland.- Research CPD systems and trends in the international regulatory context.- Prepare a report on research findings and recommendations for consideration by the Registration and Education Committee and Council.Phase 2 – Developing the model- Develop and present a CPD model for consideration by the Registration and Education Committee and Council for registrants of the designated professions.- Prepare a stakeholder consultation document on the proposed CPD model.- Participate in stakeholder consultation events on the CPD model.- Collate and analyse the feedback from stakeholder consultation on the CPD model and provide a report for the Registration and Education Committee and Council.- Prepare a final CPD model taking into consideration stakeholder, Registration and Education Committee and Council feedback.- Develop supporting documentation on the CPD scheme once it is adopted by the Council, such as registrant and assessor guidance.The system must be generic and flexible so that it can be used by any of the professions we regulate, bearing in mind practitioners of future additional professions who will be regulated by CORU.The CPD scheme should include at least the following elements:- Definition
