1.1 This project is for emergency works to includea) the upgrade of the fire compartmentation of ceilings to 60 minute fire resisting construction – 818 m² approx, including the temporary removal and re-installation of all electrical light fittings, fire sensors, alarms etc to these ceilings, battening with 38 x 38mm s/wood @ 600mm centres and perimeters, 2 layers fireline board with joinst staggered, 3mm skim and white painted finish.b) modifications to external doors to open in the direction of escape and/or new ironmongeryc) modifications to existing internal doors & remove existing ironmongery and fix new ironmongeryd) removal of existing internal doors & replacement with new 30 minute fire resisting doorsetse) closing up of existing fan light windows over new 30 minute fire resisting doorsets with 2 layers fireline boardf) demolition of small internal MDF screen & timber doorg) two steel columns to be painted with intumescent painth) lining of existing stud partitions in corridors & stairwells with high impact plasterboard & skim finish where timber linings have been removed,i) plastering of solid walls in corridors & stairwells where timber linings have been removed,j) skim finish to existing plasterboard where timber linings have been removed in corridorsk) Removal of expanded polystyrene ceiling tiles - area 8m²l) Seal existing soot box opening into stairwell 3 with steel plate and smoke sealsm) Close up opening with 60 minute fire resisting construction - stud partition and two layers fireline board both sides, skim, tiles to one side & re-hang existing wash hand basin (ensure sufficient grounds fro secure fixing of basin)n) H/wood Fire resisting cabinets to existing electrical supply boards within stairwells – 4 No.o) Modify 1 No internal door and 1 No external door in existing sports hall to open in direction of escape, remove existing ironmongery and fix new ironmongeryp) Making goodq) Painting and decoratingr) Plywood canopies to doorways accessing the
