Limerick County Council is inviting tenders for contract for the provision of Control of Horses and Animal Pound Services.1. GeneralProvision of horse control services as defined and provided for in the Control Of Horses Act 1996 and such bye-laws as may be made thereunder or otherwise by Limerick County Council;2. Premisesa. Provision of a Pound as required by law, including the Pounds (Provision And Maintenance) Act, 1935, The Animals Act 1985, The Pounds Regulations, 1985, S.I No 306/1985, The Control Of Horses Act, 1996, and all other applicable enactments in force for the period of the contract.b. Provision of suitably trained personnel for the delivery of all services covered by the contract.3. Servicesa. Seizure, collection, transportation and detention of any stray horse(s) in the County of Limerick to the pound facilities on request from Limerick County Council or the Gárda Síochána.b. Arranging for the micro-chipping of impounded horses by a qualified Veterinary Surgeon.c. Provision for the proper and humane care of all animals detained at the pound (including Veterinary Care).d. Provision of Pound Facilities
