Tender description

The provision of a therapeutic apheresis machine at Tallaght Hospital. Apheresis procedures are performed on patients with rare and often life threatening Haematological Renal or Neurological blood disorders. This service has been provided by the therapeutic apheresis teams at the Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS). This included emergency cover and on call service at weekends and bank holidays. This service will no longer be available to us, thus the objective of this project is to appoint a Tenderer who has a clear proven ability in the field to supply a plasmapheresis machine which will be managed and staffed by Tallaght Hospital. The successful Tenderer must meet our requirements and there must be evidence of proven experience in the field of Apheresis.The product must be a filtration type machine. The proposal must offer value for money. We would like to review both options of procuring the equipment and leasing of equipment. The hospital will then make a decision on which options would meet our requirements best.
