Remote Access Solution Cork City Council June 2012

Tender description

Cork City Council requires a remote access solution (RAS) to identify and allow user connection to the LAN. The solution must use a minimum of two-factor authentication. Cork City Council has a range of users requiring long and short term access to the LAN (eg staff members, contractors).The LAN operates in a Windows Enterprise Active Directory environment. We have a Fortigate 200b cluster and we are running VMWare 4.1.0 Based on current requirements we envisage 100 users requiring remote connection to the LAN.Cork City Council retains the right to purchase all or part of any tender offering.We require supply and installation of the following:1. A Two Factor Authentication solution that must have the option of using either hardware tokens or sms2. The solution must work with our existing Citrix Web Interface Version 5.3 and third party applications3. A SSL VPN solution which must be capable of working with the Two Factor Authentication system described above4. Maintenance and Support Requirements: a 3 year support contract payable annually to cover the hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
