Tender description

Tenders are invited from competent and experienced contractors for a Geotechnical Site Investigation Contract for the Laois County Water Conservation Project. The investigation will be in urban and rural roads over approximately 10.5Km and is required to provide information pertaining to the nature of the underlying ground conditions and the line, level, material and diameter of the existing services to enable the route selection and design of the watermain rehabilitation works.A specialist contractor is also required under the contract to conduct a Topographical and multi frequency Ground Penetration Radar (GPR) survey at various locations along the route of the proposed watermains rehabilitation, to record ground levels and features/services above and below ground.The full scope of the works is outlined in the Tender Documents with the works generally comprising of topographical and GPR surveys, slit trenches to uncover and mark underground services; cable percussive and rotary boreholes, trial pits, soil sampling, laboratory testing and factual reporting. Hard copies and digital (PDF) copies of the report are required along with full AGS data.
