Tender description

LBC seeks to engage a multi-disciplinary design team to design new fit-for-purpose buildings to accommodate a more efficient provision for secondary students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) and students referred to pupil referral units. . The Authority proposes to develop a single coordinated provision from three separate providers (using four sites) focussing on the refurbishment and extension of two main SItes ( Chalcot and Agincourt House) with a maximum budget of £4.3M. The delivery of the construction works will be tendered either via a traditional form of contract or design & build contracting. The design services are for design development ( RIBA ST C-D) and Tendering Action to Completion (E - L) in traditional form of contract with a break clause after Planning Approval subjefct to client approval /Option for D&B. The design team is to include core disciplines ( Architects; Structrual Engineers; Building Services Engineers; CDM Co-ordinatori and QS services; as well as associated specialist advice/ site surveys relating to Planning etc.
