Supply of a systemic and residual herbicide for weed control

Tender description

Quotes are sought for the supply of a systemic and residual herbicide for weed control on roads and footpaths throughout the county. The area covered by this weed control will vary depending on the quotes received and available resources, however it is intended to provide weed control over an area of approximately 100 hectares per year.The proposed product must provide residual weed control for up to 6 months.Notes:-When preparing the quotes, the following should to be considered:- Risks of spillages and environmental damage should be reduced where possible. For this reason, the product must come in a ready to use form (no mixing required) and must have label approval for use with Controlled Droplet Applicators or Total Droplet Control Applicators.- The proposed product is to be delivered in individual packaging, ready for use with a maximum weight of 10kg.- All product proposals submitted will only be considered if they have a valid PCS (Pesticide Control Service) number approved by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.- Only applicators approved on the label of the chosen product will be considered.- Appropriate training for the safe use of the product is to be provided for up to 10 people. This training is to be provided in the Environmental Services Depot, Bracken Road, Sandyford, Co. Dublin. The cost of this training is to be included in the quote submitted.
