Under the Rural Development Programme, €1.4m has been allocated under the Measures ’Training and Information’ and ‘Encouragement of Tourism Activities’ & ‘Conservation & Up-Grading of the Rural Heritage’As part of the process of providing support and training in these sectors, Louth Leader Partnership intends to recruit a trainer / training provider with relevant experience who will work in conjunction with the Rural Development Programme team to provide festival training for Louth based voluntary and community groups / committees who run events and festivals in the county.It is proposed that this festival training will include classroom sessions and one to one training as directed over a 4 month period. The main content of this training will include the following areas:• Group & Committee Structure & Writing Group Constitutions• Time Management & Committee Roles• Business Planning for festivals• Revenue – Finance & Fundraising• Insurance & Sponsorship• Promotion & Marketing - Using the Internet & Social Networking• Volunteers & People Management• Health & Safety Obligations• Child Protection Awareness• Festival Day – practical guidance on content, effective preparation & delivery of festivalsTraining Evaluations and a Final Report on this training programme is required from the trainer once the programme is complete.
