Tender description

Laois County Council seeks tenders from suitable contractors for the Laois County Water Conservation Project – Telemetry Implementation Contract Phase 1.The contract includes:- design, installation and commissioning of a telemetry system, comprising data loggers and a data transmission system (via SMS/GPRS/Radio) which will allow Laois County Council to continuously monitor pressure and water usage at approximately 108 existing meter sites located throughout the county;- Installation of pressure tappings at all meter locations where they do not already exist, and installation of pressure transducers, to allow the monitoring of mains pressure at each meter location;- all civil works required to enable the telemetry system and to house equipment including ducting, cabling, service pipe installation, boundary box, plinth and kiosk installation;- design and installation of a Water Auditing and Leakage Reporting System to allow Laois County Council to estimate water losses in each DMA.
