Tender description

This contract is for the design, supply, delivery, erection on site, testing and commissioning of an Ultra Violet (UV) unit at the existing Baltinglass Reservoir, Carsrock, Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow.The purpose of the UV unit is to provide UV treatment of the raw water in order to minimize cryptosporidium contamination risk to the drinking water supply.The UV unit shall apply a minimum UV dosage rate of 40mJ/square cm at a flow rate of 100 cubic metres/hour for raw water with a UV Transmissivity of 90%. The maximum operating water pressure to be catered for is 10 bar and the UV unit shall be third-party pre-validated in accordance with any of the following standards: NSF/ANSI Standard 55 or DVGW W294 or ÖNORM M5873-1 or UVDVGM 2006 (USEPA) to certify that it can operate satisfactorily for the requirements.
