The provision of Regulatory Criminal Prosecution Services to the Private Security Authority

Tender description

The Contracting Authority, on behalf of the Private Security Authority, seeks the services of legal firms who wish to be considered for selection as service providers to process cases for prosecution on a regional basis. The Private Security Authority prosecutes for non-compliance under the Private Security Services Act 2004 and 2011.It is intended to appoint up to three legal firms: one firm based in Leinster to handle prosecutions in the province of Leinster; one firm based in Munster to handle prosecutions in the province of Munster; and one firm based in Connaught or Ulster to handle prosecutions in the provinces of Connaught and Ulster. Service Providers may apply for one or more Lots. The successful Service Providers will be expected to provide the Contracting Authority with assistance in preparing a prosecution case, including reviewing evidence required and advice on whether to proceed to prosecution stage. The Contracting Authority will also require court representation for regulatory prosecution.
