Objective: to explore the effect of the local social, physical, cultural and political landscape on the art of Co. ClareOutcome: to devise a community education model that will inform and inspire current and future artistic talent to result in the generation of new art works and creative ways of reflecting the county.Proposal: It is proposed to undertake a sustained programme of animation over a twelve month period to examine the relationship between art and landscape in Co. Clare and to devise a community education model that will involve and inform a broad range of participants and generate fresh interest and engagement with the arts in the county.Resources: It is proposed to apply for a LEADER animation grant of €30,000 to employ a suitably qualified Animator for a twelve-month period and an additional grant of €2,000 to cover information/publicity, room hire & refreshments and expenses occurred in the organisation of events relevant to the project. The Animator will provide his/her own office/administrative space and facilities. The filling of this position is subject to a successful funding application.
