Dublin City Council wishes to appoint suitably qualified consultants to carry out Level 3 Green Infrastructure Strategies and Habitat Mapping for candidate Local Area Plans. This project will require the following professional skills: spatial planning; ecology; landscape architecture; and GIS consultants.Requirements:This project requires the preparation of Green Infrastructure Strategies and Level 3 Habitat Mapping of candidate Local Area Plans as set out below and the undertaking of a training element for Dublin City Council Planners and Dublin City’s Sustainable Indicator Group.-Naas Road Candidate LAP – Level 3 Habitat Mapping and specific GI Strategies-Park West/Cherry Orchard Candidate LAP - Level 3 Habitat Mapping only-George’s Quay Candidate LAP Stock take of existing data and specific GI StrategiesSpecific Outputs:-Carry out level 3 habitat mapping of Naas Road Candidate LAP and Park West/Cherry Orchard Candidate LAP and review level of biodiversity in George’s Quay Candidate LAP, to follow Best Practice Guidance for Habitat Survey and Mapping (Heritage Council, 2011),-The production of industry standard GIS data (Geomedia compliant) with codes and other notes and attributions as may be required or agreed with the project steering group.-Prepare Green Infrastructure Strategies for Naas Road LAP and George’s Quay Candidate LAP’s in consultation with Dublin City Council and in accordance with best practice guidance set down by Comhar Sustainable Development Council and meeting the requirements of the Dublin City Development Plan 2011-2017 and the Regional Planning Guidelines 2010-2022.-Attend consultation meetings with Dublin City Council for the duration of the project.-Provide training element in the form of structured site visit and presentations on GI to the Forward Planning team and LAP Committee of Dublin City Council, to increase understanding of GI and its application in Dublin City.
