N86 Annascaul to Gortbreagoge Road Improvement Scheme

Tender description

Construction of approximately 4.2km of single carriageway roadway, with a combined cycleway/pedestrian facility on each side. The scheme extends from Annascaul village to the townland of Gortbreagoge, 4.2km to the east. The scheme primairaly involves on-line widening of the existing road with a 500m section of off-line construction also necessary. The works will include but is not limited to the following:(i) Construction of 4.2km of Type 3 Single Carriageway road with a combined cycleway/pedestrian facility on each side.(ii) Construction of 5 No. Simple Priority Junctions.(iii) Widening/rehabilitation of 3 No. Existing structures (2No. watercourse crossings and 1No. stock underpass).(iv) Construction of a 2.1m X 2.1m (internal dimensions) stock underpass with associated wing walls, access ramps and drainage.(v) Various Pavement Works(vi) Replacement/widening of existing culverts.(vii) Construction of new culverts.(viii) Construction of various road drainage systems.(ix) Demolition of 3 No. structures.(x) Construction of various earthworks.(xi) Construction of various ducting and chambers.(xii) Construction of various fencing and safety barrier.(xiii) Construction of various signage and road markings(xiv) Construction of Public Lighting(xv) Landscaping(xvi) Construction of Traffic Calming works to the east of Annascaul village.(xvii) Construction of kerbing and footpaths(xviii) Construction of various accommodation works.(xix) Construction of various ancillary works, all as described in the Contract.
