Work associated with Task 28 of the ‘IEA Implementing Agreement for co-operation in the research, development, and deployment of wind energy systems’ (‘IEA Wind’).IEA Wind has initiated a study of the social acceptance of wind energy internationally i.e. Task 28: “Social Acceptance of Wind Energy Projects– winning hearts and minds”. The concept of social acceptance within the Task covers all parts of society, from government, regulators and system operators to local authorities, planners and investors, through to local communities and individuals.
