Tender description

TG4 invites companies to tender for the Consultancy services of a Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Pension Schemes for TG4, Baile na hAbhann, Co. na Gaillimhe. The period of this contract is for up to 3 years, commencing on 22/08/2011. Please forward details of previous experience, company history, previous client references and confirm that the company will be able to provide relevant insurance cover if the company is selected. A copy of the insurance need not accompany the application. A copy of the insurance will be required if TG4 decides to award the contract to the applicant.The Teilifís na Gaeilge Defined Contribution Fund is currently valued at €5,125,979 and the Defined Benefit Fund is valued at €417,560Requirements:-Advice on pension issues impacting the organisation.-Advice on legal issues in relation to pensions and related law.-Advice on Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution staff pension scheme planning / management / administration.-Advice on fund performance and on any related investment issues.-Advice on effective management of the cost and volatility inherent in pension scheme arrangements.-Assistance to enable us to address the complexity and regulation around pensions in general.-Statutory actuarial advice, pension accounting and investment consulting advice.-Advice on and preparation of pension disclosures in company accounts – ensuring we appropriately account for pension commitments.-Ability to provide Life Cover and Permanent Health cover for 90 staffTenders will be evaluated on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender applying the following criteria:AWARD CRITERIA POINTS1) Quality and Technical Merita) Ability to meet the specification 10 pointsb) Quality of Proposal 10 pointsc) Expertise/skills of personnel to be assigned to TG4 Pension Scheme 25 pointsd) i.
