Specialist Landscape & Visual Services for the Greater Dublin Drainage project

Tender description

Fingal County Council seeks to procure the services of a Landscape and Visual Specialist to progress the full planning stage of the Greater Dublin Drainage (GDD) project. The GDD project will include the provision of:(a) a regional wastewater treatment plant and an associated marine outfall location at a site in the northern part of the Greater Dublin Area; and(b) an orbital drainage system linking the regional wastewater treatment plant to the existing regional drainage network and to provide for connections to identified areas of future developmentThe Project shall include such studies and investigations as necessary to meet the Project Objectives, which includes:(a) identification of the optimum location for the marine outfall and site for the wastewater treatment plant and the route for the orbital drainage system following a rigorous site and route selection process, which shall include public consultation(b) preparation of a Preliminary Report for the Project, which shall evaluate all relevant data, and provide an assessment of the initial size and a development strategy for the regional wastewater treatment plant and Orbital drainage system;(c) preparation of a full Environmental Impact Statement for the recommended solution following a rigorous Environmental Impact Assessment; and(d) assisting the Contracting Authority identify and acquire the necessary sites and wayleaves to implement the Project.
