Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Motorway Fibre Optic Cable Backbone

Tender description

This Tender is for the supply and installation of fibre optic cable on the M50 and N4. The total length of the M50 highway, for this deployment, is approximately 70Km comprising of 35km northbound and 35km southbound. The total length of the N4 Section from M50/N4 interchange to the Lucan Junction 5 is approximately 6.5km.The Contract will be for the supply and install of:a) A 96-core back-bone fibre network and a 48-core fibre network in both verges of the M50, northbound and southbound, between the Northern Operations Building (NOP) located at the Dublin Port Tunnel and a point between Junctions 13 and 14 (Sandyford interchange) of the M50 approximately at chainage Ch 31+900 (near R113 crossover) where it will be spliced and interconnected to existing 96 core fibre cables in both vergers.b) A 48-core back-bone fibre network extension in the eastbound verge of the N4 motorway from the M50/N4 interchange to Lucan junction 5.c) Drop Cables comprising of a 12 core fibre network from various designated chambers to roadside communications cabinets.d) Equipment Cables comprising of a 8 core fibre network from various designated roadside communications cabinets to field equipment cabinetse) All fibre optic cable, cable terminations to include without limitations, jointing, splicing and patching, and final terminations;f) The provision of necessary Traffic Managementg) Testing and commissioningh) Provision of Trainingj) Full maintenance of the fiber network for a period of 6 months
