Fáilte Ireland is the National Tourism Development Authority, established by the Irish Government in May 2003 to guide and promote the development of tourism as a leading indigenous component of the Irish economy. To this end, Fáilte Ireland, working in partnership with the tourism industry, provides an extensive range of support services and business solutions designed specifically to develop and sustain Ireland as a high-quality and competitive tourism destination.Our vision for Irish tourism is that of a dynamic, innovative, sustainable and highly regarded sector offering international and domestic visitors a positive and memorable experience beyond their expectations. Further information on Fáilte Ireland can be found on our website www.failteireland.ieThis is a contract for the quality monitoring and feedback reporting of participant programme evaluations of Fáilte Ireland Enterprise Support programmes and learning interventions. In 2009 Fáilte Ireland facilitated a total of approximately 250 Learning Events, involving up to 5000 participants (based on 20 participants on average per programme). This information is only provided for guidance purposes.A variety of duration and delivery methods are used for Fáilte Ireland programmes ranging from half day programmes to 4-8 months. Any new programmes developed by Fáilte Ireland will be assessed using standard questionnaires provided to the service provider but it may occur that new programmes may require the amending of existing forms.The following categorization of learning activities reflects the current nature and range of these Learning Events:A. National Programmes (4-8 months modular duration) – (approximately 2% of total participants )B. Scheduled/In Company & bespoke Continuing Professional Development CPD and Training Centre Programmes (1/2 Day – 5 Day duration)(approximately 74% of total participants).C.
